About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Procurement Lead to take charge of our procurement strategy and operations at UEXO. Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, you’ll play a key role in aligning local and global procurement activities, ensuring seamless end-to-end supply chain operations.

From sourcing and planning to timely delivery, you’ll be the cornerstone of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, building strong supplier relationships and enabling operational excellence in support of our labs, development, and production activities.

What You’ll Do

Procurement Strategy & Supplier Management

• Develop and execute a robust procurement strategy aligned with global and local processes.

• Manage supplier relationships and performance, including negotiations, risk assessments, and qualification.

• Drive cost efficiency while ensuring high standards of quality, delivery, and compliance.

• Define and maintain supplier contracts and act as a strategic partner in global procurement forums.

Procurement Operations & Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of buyers, empowering them with clear guidance and development opportunities.

• Oversee procurement operations, monitor KPIs (e.g., OTIF, ARC), and resolve delivery or quality issues proactively.

• Ensure data accuracy and process integrity across procurement systems (ERP knowledge, SAP is a plus).

Process Improvement & Data-Driven Decision Making

• Analyze procurement data to support tactical and strategic decisions.

• Propose and implement process improvements in collaboration with Quality, Production, and Global Procurement teams.

• Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as a procurement ambassador across departments (R&D, QA/QC, Production, Finance).

• Support projects that enhance supply chain robustness and efficiency, including BoM management and stock optimization.

• Participate in internal and global meetings (TPQRB, S&OP, etc.), sharing key insights and progress.

Who You Are

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Purchasing, or related field.

• 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sectors.

• Proven leadership in managing teams and complex procurement ecosystems.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent in French and proficient in English.

• Strong negotiation and strategic thinking skills.

• Mastery of procurement tools, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and Excel.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized with strong analytical capabilities.

• Comfortable switching between high-level strategy and operational details.

• A great communicator who builds trust and thrives in cross-functional environments.
