Based in Belgium (Nivelles, Jumet, or Brussels), you will join a fast-growing team full of passionate colleagues. You will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and continual improvement of the operational model for product development and scientific operations across the Univercells Group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day management of a corporate initiative aimed at creation of an industry best practice model for the development of biopharmaceuticals and scientific operations, working with developing leaders and project managers across Univercells group of companies – includes organization, preparation, and facilitation of workshops and meetings, planning and reporting, coordination with all subteams to deliver results, follow-up of project administration, and other PM tasks required for successful completion of the initiative
  • Contribution to the development of best-in-class project management practices, tools, and templates for end-to-end product development (from candidate selection to marketing authorization) – including standards for planning, risk and issue management, project financial planning & control, documentation & filing, communication, roles & responsibilities, etc. 
  • Contribution to the creation of operating standards (processes, tools, and templates) for specific work packages within the product development continuum (e.g. process development, analytical method development, transfer of technology, clinical development…), in collaboration with functional leaders, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders
  • Responsible for implementation and continual improvement of corporate methodologies for product development and science within the company’s Center of Excellence 
  • Project Management assistance to other functions within the Product Development department, as appropriate

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in life sciences, ideally bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences, biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or similar fields
  • Prior exposure to scientific operations in a (bio)pharmaceutical company and/or development of medicines is a significant plus
  • Prior experience in a Project Management role is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An ability to think analytically and conceptually and a highly structured mindset are essential
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and influence others without managerial authority
  • Proficiency in English (both written and oral) is required; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and multicultural environment is a plus
