Quantoom Biosciences has two facilities; the headquarters are based in Nivelles (Belgium), and the France Research Center focusing on offering an end-to-end DNA production platform based in Evry (France).

MISSION:

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible to install, calibrate, test and validate equipment at customer site and/or  factory.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, calibrate, test and validate equipment in accordance with processes and planning, at customer site or at factory
  • Ensure the delivered product meets the functional, quality, performance and safety specifications
  • Maintain equipment in accordance to maintenance processes and planning
  • Analyze the equipment to detect issues, track root causes and repair the equipment
  • Ensure compliance of quality assurance requirements
  • Report and document the interventions according to processes
  • Participate to continuous improvement of the product, maintenance plan and processes in order to increase performance, reliability, quality and efficiency
  • Train customers to properly and safely use the equipment and act as site technical point of contact
  • Support in the establishment of users specifications for GMP manufacturing to support the organization for design and industrialization steps of UQTM’s equipment products:
    • Internally to equipment development team for prototype
    • Externally to customer
  • Provide technical information to Product management for the preparation of customer related documentation (installation, operation, maintenance – user guide, maintenance manuel, installation guide)
  • Support the organization for IOQ activities of UQTM’s equipment products:
    • Internally to equipment development team for prototype
    • Externally to customer during installation and validation phase. This will require travelling outside Belgium for short term missions.
  • Support the design , the qualification and the validation of the disposables.
  • Follow & maintain engineering standards within the organization in support to equipment development team
  • Provide technological mentorship to other field services engineers
  • Act as a point of expertise when applicable
  • Be the key person to notify any potential changes needed in our products based on client feedback.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in industrial sciences or engineering (electronics, electromechanics or mechatronics)
  • Relevant technical experience in electronics/electrical or mechanical systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, control technologies in industrial environment
  • Excellent hands-on skills and excellent written and oral communication
  • Good command of English, French is a plus
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical and GMP environment is a plus
  • Excellent problem solver with pragmatic approach and good organizational skills
  • Able to deliver on strict deadlines, a product and its manufacturing records in accordance to requirements
  • Customer oriented and proactive and able to take initiatives in stressful situations
  • Capable to work both autonomously and in team as well as able to work under pressure and in multicultural environments
  • Flexible and able to travel abroad up to 60% of the working time, potentially during weekends
  • Open minded and enjoy having interactions with people that have different backgrounds
  • Interested to work with technologies in the field of life sciences
